A little about me

After growing up in the Midwest, I moved to Richmond, VA where
I currently live with my girlfriend Jane and our two cats, Chamomile and Mimosa. I love to spend my time working on art and design projects, as well as exploring the city, mountains, and the beach.

Work ethic

Executing design tasks with excellence and a high attention to detail is of the utmost importance to me. I believe that exceptional design is achieved by aiming for the most ideal solution, not the easiest one.

Growth aspirations

My passion for design is rooted in a long-standing interest in visual systems, user interfaces, and human-centered design. Having started my career in brand identity and marketing, I've since begun to build upon that foundation with digital interface work using design systems thinking.

Decennalia Exhibition Branding

Decennalia: 10 Years of Myers in Venice was an exhibition held at the Emily Davis Gallery which featured the work of Myers School of Art artists who had attended the school trip to the Venice Biennale. For this exhibition I was tasked with creating a look and feel for the show marketing materials. Additionally, I was given the responsibility of designing the layout design for a catalog which would feature all of the works of the artists presented in the show. For the show identity,
I used images from students who had attended the trip with a tan overlay and serif typography. These aesthetic choices highlighted student experiences, while reflecting the physical atmosphere and well established prestige of the city of Venice.
